I have been asked to provide the background of this blog. Here it is.

This so-called “rabbi” charged a WIDOW with TRESPASSING when he barred her from the YOUNG ISRAEL Aish of Las Vegas after she stopped donating to the YI when the “rabbi” tried to force her to bury her husband in a cemetery from which he received kickbacks. He was excommunicated when he refused to obey a summons to Bet Din. The excommunication was removed but then reinstated when the “rabbi” reneged on the Bet Din’s condition that the trespassing charges be dropped. Seven years ago NATIONAL COUNCIL of YOUNG ISRAEL committed FORGERY to hide the EXCOMMUNICATION of the “rabbi” of its Las Vegas branch by altering dates on the removal of the first seruv to make it seem to be later. Please see the timeline and documents at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByDyf3w55PRPbk1DaGVLaGVWNzQ/view?usp=sharing

Does it take this to get people to understand what the seruv on Yitzchak Wyne means?
Young Israel Aish of Las Vegas is violating halacha by engaging him as rabbi!
It as if they are serving what you see in this photo to anyone who comes to them.
  1. The seruv from 6 MarCheshvan 5765 was mistakenly removed on 1 Kislev 5765 based on
    • Rabbi P. Steinberg's testimony that Yitzchak Wyne did not receive the Hazmonos (Yitz Wyne lied to him) and
    • the promise by Young Israel the trespassing charges against Mrs. Shalov would be dropped.
  2. The seruv on 11 Tevet 5765 specifically says it was reinstated because
    • the original seruv "was mistakenly removed due to incorrect testimony by Rabbi P. S." (Peretz Steinberg)
    • Young Israel reneged. The trespassing charges against Mrs. Susan Shalov were not dropped!
Rabbi Peretz Steinberg is NOT qualified to tell anyone the seruv is invalid:
  1. He is a single person telling people to disobey a Bet Din of 8 dayanim
  2. He gave testimony to that Bet Din and accepted their removal of the original seruv so he is obligated to accept their psak that they later determined his testimony was incorrect.  Even though he feels he testified correctly he has no right to tell anyone to ignore the seruv on 11 Tevet 5765 since it is on the same case from the same Bet Din whose psak he accepted on 1 Kislev.
  3. His testimony to a secular court was based upon a document that was blatantly FORGED as a supposed removal of the seruv.

Since he is a wicked person, we do not want him as part of the Jewish community. (Meam Lo'ez, Vol. 7, Mishpatim, Exodus 21:1 - Excommunication)

The Young Israel organization refused to follow the halachos specified in this seruv to ostracize and shun the charlatan "rabbi". In fact, they committed FORGERY and PERJURY to hide the seruv from Klal Yisrael!

The eruv in West Las Vegas was formed with the full knowledge Young Israel will not allow the widow (and others the so-called rabbi publicly expressed his hatred toward) into the shul to partake of the ochel, the food component of the eruv. Halacha considers the rabbi of that Young Israel a heretic for his actions and his public distortions of the Torah and all halachos of excommunication (Yoreh Deah 334) apply to him. For these reasons stated in the Shulchan Aruch Orech Chaim that were deliberately contravened in these sections 366:5, 385, 394:3 (click here then scroll to view)  the eruv is pasul!
The Las Vegas Kollel's say-so to the contrary is worthless since they cannot give valid halachic explanations or reasons.

Travelers to Nevada must avoid carrying on Shabbos in the areas surrounding the Young Israel of Las Vegas!

6. And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, "Do not leave your heads unshorn, and do not rend your garments, so that you shall not die, and lest He be angry with the entire community, but your brothers, the entire house of Israel, shall bewail the conflagration that the Lord has burned.ו.

Rashi:
so that you shall not die: But if you do so [and leave your heads unshorn and rend your garments], you will die. — [Torath Kohanim 10:31]ולא תמתו: הא אם תעשו כן תמותו:

Why would Hashem be angry with the entire community if Aaron and his surviving sons were to disregard His instructions?

Rav [Shimon] Schwab (zt'l) on Yeshayahu (Artscroll)  brings a reference on page 14 from Sefer Yehoshua, Perek 7 where the defeat at Ai cost some 36 Jewish lives :

"Achan's close circle of family and friends who knew about the violation did not condemn him for it; they didn't ostracize or shun him. So the entire nation was held responsible."

According to Rambam (Hil. Taanis 1:1-3), it is a positive commandment of the Torah for every individual to cry out and search his ways at a time of national calamity, for G-d visits calamities upon Israel to inspire each Jew to repent for his misdeeds. If someone fails to recognize that tragedies occur through an act of G-d rather [than] through happenstance, he is considered cruel, because he will not be motivated to improve his behavior. as a result, G-d will beset Israel with more troubles, until all are motivated to change their ways. (Footnote from Artscroll 1982 edition  Sefer Yehoshua, Perek 7  )
If the disregard for the sin of Achan by "Achan's close circle of family and friends who knew about the violation " (Rav Shimon Schwab, ztl) brought about the tragedy at the Battle of Ai then it stands to reason that the suppression of the excommunication of Yitzchak Wyne by his close circle of "rabbinic" and Young Israel colleagues very likely is bringing similar Biblical responses where Hashem is trying to reach the conscience of the community leaders as He did Yehoshua.

Achan ben Carmi defied a cherem on the booty of Jericho and the result was national mourning for some 36 lives! Mr. Wyne oppressed a widow and was placed in  cherem  as result but his close circle keeps it hidden from the general community! They let the locals and travelers think it is a YOUNG ISRAEL like those led by Rabbi Menachem Gettinger zt'l, Rav Yehudah Leib Isbee zt'l, Rav Schulem Rubin zt'l, et al.
IT IS NOT DESERVING TO USE THE NAME YOUNG ISRAEL and it is NOT a branch of AISH HaTORAH!

Las Vegas is definitely no longer an affiliate of Aish HaTorah on any level, and should have removed the name from their stationery etc. They have been asked to do so and we will follow up on this. Thank you very much for bringing the matter to our attention.

This status has not changed in 8 years!  Young Israel Aish of Las Vegas is NOT affiliated with Aish HaTorah despite their use of the name and logos.

Young Israel is only Orthodox-STYLE but not Orthodox

Most images and underlined words in this blog are clickable and link to more information.

Please read further into this blog for more details about this crime committed by the remorseless National Council of YOUNG ISRAEL.
The "rabbi" of YOUNG ISRAEL Aish of Las Vegas is excommunicated by Bais Din yet he bans a WIDOW from davening in "his" Young Israel?

Please read older posts in this blog for details of of how YOUNG ISRAEL Aish of Las Vegas violates the decrees of Rabbeinu Gershom explained here and other reasons the Delegates & leadership of National Council of YOUNG ISRAEL must remove this blight on its legacy before they have their own Freundel-level scandal.

If this is Halacha regarding a private shul, HOW DARE A YOUNG ISRAEL SYNAGOGUE BAN A WIDOW OR ANYONE ELSE WHO IS NOT EXCOMMUNICATED FROM DAVENING IN A PUBLIC BRANCH OF YOUNG ISRAEL?!

There are many Kosher-style eateries around the country that appear kosher. That's the problem. They are only kosher in appearance but not in reality. They may get their meats from a kosher supplier but then they cook it on Shabbos. In most cases frum people know to avoid such places because they lack any hechsher. But what happens in a case where the place has a name like  Young Israel of Las Vegas that did serve food cooked on Shabbos to the congregation and guests at the direct instruction of the "rabbi" who said at the time "just serve it-no one will know about it".

I am providing the paragraph and a link to the document where this incident is mentioned in context: https://docs.google.com/document/d/12fj4BypAXYQBms2HmVCnJrt0lKs-GA4zIaSSGl11RVQ/edit

On Shabbos my husband went into the shul kitchen as they were preparing for a kiddush and noticed that they were mixing mocha mix in hot noodles...clearly Bishul. My husband called in Mr. Wyne and this was his response "just serve it-no one will know about it". There were witnesses to this. After this incident my husband approached Mr. Wyne privately with a Mishna Brurah and was told "just put that book away!".

The same applies to their so called eruv. Oh yes, the lechai'in and lintels of wire are there. But the ochel is in an inaccessible place and the "owner" has proven he will be angry if it is eaten by those he hates and bars from "his" YOUNG ISRAEL  synagogue. YOUNG ISRAEL of Las Vegas only "appears" to have an eruv. But in reality its eruv is as kosher as those kosher-style restaurants that cook on Shabbos.
It also needs to be remembered that since the leader of the synagogue is excommunicated, it is not possible to enter "his" premises and still follow the Halachos of Shulchan Aruch, Yoreh Deah section 334 as stated on the seruv issued by Bais Din. Please see earlier posts in this blog for images of the seruv.

Shulchan Aruch/Orach Chaim/366:5 It must be the case that no one will get angry if his friend eats his eruv.

If he will get angry, it is not an eruv. Because of this, one should be careful not to make
an eruv with something made for Shabbat.
סעיף ה - צריך שלא יקפיד שום אחד
מהם על ערובו אם יאכלנו חברו, ואם
מקפיד אינו ערוב, לכך צריך לזהר שלא
לערב בדבר שתקן לצרך השבת.

Shulchan Aruch/Orach Chaim/394:3 If [the eruv] was placed in a tower, it was locked inside, the key was
lost before it got dark, and it is impossible to remove the eruv without doing definite
work at twilight, it is as if it is lost and not an eruv, because it is impossible to eat it.
